Alexander Ekbom is a Managing Director and Sector Lead for the
Multilateral Lending Institutions (MLI) and Public Sector Funding Agencies
(PSFA) at S&P Global Ratings. He is also the Nordic Regional Head.
The sector lead role involves globally representing S&P views, coverage of
the largest MLI’s and PSFA’s, overviewing the sector trends, writing topical
research as well as coordinating the analytics and analysts for both asset
classes worldwide. As the regional head, Alexander oversees the strategy
for the market outreach and activities in the Nordic region.
He previously worked for 9 years in the Stockholm Financial Institutions
team with ratings covering both cross-border and local banks in the Nordic
and Baltic region. Before S&P Global, Alexander worked for the pan-Nordic
commercial bank Nordea, where he was co-responsible for investment
bank clients.
Alexander holds a Degree in Business Administration and Economics from
the School of Business at the University of Stockholm.
