Anna McDonald
Anna McDonald is director of global ESG strategy at PGIM, where she drives ESG strategy across PGIM’s private and public asset classes. Anna started her career in investment banking at Barclays Capital, where she specialised in global syndicated debt and fixed income and subsequently joined global debt syndications at Société Générale and then BNP Paribas. After having children, she moved to corporate banking and became head of large corporate for the Eastern region at Barclays. In 2019, she moved to the Church of England to run the Ethical Investment Advisory Group (EIAG) which provides ethical investment advice to the Church of England’s investing bodies and led the development of ethical investment advice on issues ranging from Human Rights to Big Tech and AI. She joined PGIM in 2022. Anna read French and History at the University of Southampton and also has qualifications from the University of Manchester and the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership.
