Modupe Famakinwa
Modupe Famakinwa is Senior Vice President at Africa Finance Corporation (AFC), where she leads Funding, Capital Markets, and Investor Relations. Since 2014, she has raised over US$10 billion to finance infrastructure projects in 36 African countries, positioning AFC as a leading African issuer in global markets. She has led landmark transactions across Eurobonds, green and sukuk bonds, DFI financing, and structured products such as Samurai and Kimchi loans.
Modupe also advises sovereigns and financial institutions on accessing global debt markets and oversees AFC’s investor engagement with institutional investors across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and North America.
A recognized thought leader, she has spoken at global finance forums and previously served on the London Stock Exchange Africa Advisory Group. She is currently a board member of Société Concessionnaire du Port de Vridi (SOCOPRIM), which operates the Henri Konan Bédié toll bridge in Côte d’Ivoire.
Modupe holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and is a Fellow of the ACCA
