Jelena Macura
Jelena Macura joined ING in March 2023 first as Vice President Sustainable Finance, and then (current role) as Vice President Sustainable Capital Markets. In her current capacity, Jelena plays an active role in the origination, structuring, and maintenance of ESG labelled frameworks for Corporate and SSA issuers. Prior to joining ING, Jelena was Head of Sustainable Finance at the European Chemical Industry Council (Cefic), and in this capacity, was also a Permanent Representative in the inaugural European Commission EU Platform on Sustainable Finance (2020-2022).
Jelena previously worked in the Government Relations team at ExxonMobil Petroleum & Chemical focusing on integrated advocacy for various downstream and upstream issues. As well, she worked in the Executive Office of the Southern Alberta Office of the Premier covering a range of provincial energy and finance topics and has collaborated with the Alberta Energy Regulator.
Jelena holds an MA in International relations with a specialization in EU External Relations from the Brussels School of International Studies (University of Kent) and a BA in Economics and Political Science from the University of Alberta. She holds CFA certificates in Sustainable Investing and Climate Risk, Valuation & Investing. She is currently a CIPM Candidate.
