Othman Boukrami
Othman is the Chief Investment Officer and deputy CEO of the Currency Exchange Fund (TCX). His responsibilities include managing TCX’s derivatives pricing & trading activities, and the Fund’s portfolio and liquidity. Othman has been a key driver in scaling up TCX activities in enabling Development Finance Institutions and investment banks lending in the least developed countries’ currencies. Othman’s role in private sector mobilization to onboard developing countries exchange rate risk further contributed to the market creation and a successful public private partnership for a more resilient and sustainable investment and aid.
Prior to joining TCX, he worked at the African Development Bank, as a Senior Officer as well as Senior Treasury Dealer at Citigroup. He holds a bachelor indegree in Economics & Finance from the École Supérieure de Commerce in Algiers, a masters in Banking & Finance from the University of Lyon, a masters in International Securities, Investment & Banking from the University of Reading, and a PhD in Finance from the University of Lyon.
Othman is also a Non-Executive Director at Record PLC.
